Northern California State Good Sam Club

Chapter Chatter

DATE RECEIVED: Sept 2008

Butte Wheelers of Oroville have had a busy year. Los Molinos, Red Bluff, Corning, Winters, Quincy and Cromberg were nearby destinations. September and October we will be on an extended trip traveling through Nevada, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona to see the sights of the Southwest Indian Country, plus the International Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque.

In May we were at Lake Solano County Park in Winters. Richard and Connie Olinger, Trail Bosses, arranged for the Director of the Sacramento Valley Veterans National Cemetery, Dean L. Moline, to come to the campground and give a presentation on benefits for veterans at the new cemetery in Dixon. It opened in 2006 and is still undergoing some construction and landscaping, but is fully operational. It is the closest National Cemetery to our area. Mr. Moline is available to speak to other Chapters if people are interested.

Dallas and Pat Keene were accepted as new members in April and were warmly welcomed.
