Our December Holiday lunch was held at Mimi’s Café in San Mateo. We had 36 people attending including former members Ed and Dorothy Campbell and Bill and Dolores Wright. A short meeting was held and Richard and Camille Debutts and Kris and  Jessica                                                                                                                                                                   Victorino were voted in. Our new officers are John Scopazzi President, Nancy Melanson Vice President and Michael Herrier Treasurer. Fred and Tina Goodwin were acknowledged as the only BAMERS to attend every campout in 2008.

We do not camp out in January since many members are on the road. Games are played at every camp out during the day and after dinner.

Our February campout was to Maple Leaf RV Park in Morgan Hill. There were 13 Rigs for the weekend. Our Hosts Bill and Joan Helm barbequed tri-tips for Saturday night’s dinner. Since this was our first get together since our Holiday lunch in December there was a lot of catching up. Matt Pauly is recovering from a 5 foot fall into a pit.

In March we went to the Gilroy Garlic USA RV Park. We had 17 rigs for the weekend. Our hosts Jeanie and Carmen Mini provided corned beef and cabbage for dinner. Lois Krueger made available pictures of all members of the club for an album. Former members Dolores and Bill Wright came for a day to visit. George McElvain is recovering from surgery. Most of the group visited the stores at the shopping center.

Fourteen rigs made it to the San Francisco North/ Petaluma KOA for the April camp out. Hosts Jon and Virginia Kalsbeek provided huge baked potatoes with all the fixings for dinner. They followed it up with eggs in a bag for Saturday breakfast. Ron and Pat Mairose were voted in as members. Many games were played and afterwards many joined the Melansons who had a fire going.

Flag City in Lodi was our May destination with 17 rigs. Our hosts Matt and Georgia Pauly provided huge platters and bowls of spaghetti and meatballs. The RV Park conducted an olive oil, vinegar and barbeque sauce tasting. Tim and Kat Boswell were voted in as members. Fred and Tina Goodwin attended and reported back on the Samboree. We played a new game called “sticks” that Louise McComas had bought in Yuma, AZ.

A warm sun in Chowchilla greeted 12 rigs at the Lakes RV & Golf Resort in June. Many Bamers took advantage of the free golf every day. A large group went to the races at the nearby track. Three made it to the Chichanski Casino and all came back winners. Our wagon masters Lena and Uwe Schmalenbach provided an egg casserole for Saturday breakfast and marinated and barbequed tri-tips for dinner. The pool was used every day.

Nineteen rigs found their way to Coyote Valley RV Resort in Morgan Hill for the July camp out. Lots of golf was played. It was very hot and the pool got a lot of use. Groups went to Camping World, Wal-Mart, The Outlets and Moss Landing. Our hosts Gil and Sylvia Mullens provided a continental breakfast Saturday morning and a great ham dinner Saturday night.
